Euro Car Parks and Debt Recovery Plus

Hi everyone I hope you can help and I apologise as you will have probably had to reply to many of these in the past already.
Firstly I have looked for similar instances on the forum but nothing quite like my predicament so here goes
I parked in a Euro car parks car park which has signs saying something along the lines of free parking for 2 hours only ( I didn't see these at the time)
I have received one letter saying I was parked there for over 3 hours and had pictures (I'm guessing from CCTV) of my number plate entering and leaving the car park.
Ignoring this I received another letter stating I now owe £70 as I didn't pay within 14 days.
Again I ignored, next I had a letter from debt recovery plus, stating quite a bit of technical jargon etc. now saying the outstanding amount is £140.
And again I ignored....I have now received a forth letter headed 'notice of intended litigation' threatening CCJ's and the impact on credit rating and such.
What should I do?? I did after the 3rd letter decide to appeal back to euro car parks attaching bank statements to prove that I did shop there but that is all I have done and I have heard nothing.
Your advice and wisdom is very much appreciated
If you need to see the letters just let me know!!
Thanks!!

Yes ignore them, it's a numbers game for them, the more people they try and intimidate the more statistically coughs up. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that these do court and you get CCJs , they don't ! Euro have never done court unless taken there !
You will get Zenith Collections writing to you next, they are the same company as Debt Recovery +, look on the bottom right corner of the letter when you get it. Also pay attention to the signatures, James becomes Claire they obviously have gender issues. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I like your username, being a Brighton fan for many years, Wardy is a legend!

So I take it you missed the letter chains sticky thread then, at the top of this forum, which tells people that they will get these well-known Debt Recovery Plus standard computerised threats? This is what people have been getting and ignoring for YEARS! Debt Recovery/Zenith can't do anything except write letters when it comes to fake parking tickets because there is no debt, no defaulted credit agreement or anything owed at all.

This is no biggie so please calm down. I have ignored 2 fake PCNs myself and laughed at the debt recovery letters. You can't appeal now so what a waste of time that was. Simply file all the letters and only take seriously real Court papers (unheard of from Euro with just a single fake PCN - and you'd win if you defended it).
Here's a thread from pepipoo forum with the newer letters. On pepipoo I post as SchoolRunMum and I linked quite a few other threads for that person as you'll see from all the links:

See how commonly your question about this pathetic letter is asked...:)PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks everyone for your help, I'll hold out and wait for a letter from Zenith then!!
I can't believe how professionally poor the letters are with the gender issues, ie. claire and James its laughable.
Has there been any posts where someone has actually received genuine court letters?0 -
Yes, the rare ones pop up every now and again, almost all don't get to court as the ppc gives up. Some try outrageous claims with a big discount for early payment to try to frighten a driver into paying, very rarely does the ppc follow through and even less win as the case is easily beaten with the correct advice.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Yes from a PPC direct. NEVER from Debt Recovery Plus/Zenith as they are just pen-pushers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

CP Plus another, and probably every scammer with ANPR in their namewe know that almost all these scammers manage car parks by cameras, we know that is the most effective way to manage , I mean scam money off people .
