Things you have always wanted to say to buyers or sellers but can't
I once had someone buy a 99p item off me with second class post 4 days before xmas, and 2 days before xmas, suddenly pronounced "where is my item??? if I don't get it by this afternoon, I'm leaving bad feedback" (which they did)
When on the phone to eBay complaining about said bad feedback, eBay said, "but when you said, "merry xmas to you too", you were being sarcastic and that's why you got the bad feedback,
When I got off the phone I though, no, if I was being sarcastic, I would have said, Oh no problem, hold on a minute while I get the raindeer and I'll get on my flying sley and chase up your 99p item and find it and bring it down your flipping chimney pot. :rotfl:

This could be taken as sarcastic;)ballisticbrian wrote: »I would have said, Oh no problem, hold on a minute while I get the raindeer and I'll get on my flying sley and chase up your 99p item and find it and bring it down your flipping chimney pot. :rotfl:
But this wouldn't be sarcastic......this would be you going ballistic......Brian;););)0 -
The items I make have a side that is permanently covered up. When I come across a rude or awkward buyer, I write "pr*ck" on the side they can't see, and take heart in the fact they will always have an item that says exactly what I think of them.0

I'm glad you are not in the restaurant business. I have a friend who always complains in restaurants, I would really not want to mess with people who mess with your food!Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I had someone leave me negative feedback saying i was slow to post. What i wantd to say is unprintable but the nice version is "sorry you haven't received your item, I will post it as soon as you pay"

Guess what I would type, two words, a universally known phrase that expresses it perfectly.... it has 4 letters in the first word and 3 letters in the second word.....?
Ok ,so have you guessed the two word phrase I feel like typing when am annoyed? It's LOVE YOU! of course!0 -
Unfortunately occasionally I can be rather unprofessional.
This afternoon is a perfect example.
Buyer left a neg after 10 days for INR even though they are in Ireland and then the proceeded to message me to tell me that it hadn't arrived and they were really quite nasty with it.
Now my standard line is apologetic and offering replacement or refund for INR's but I have had rather a bad day and a run of ridiculous buyers so my response to them was:
Please contact us again if they don't arrive by Tuesday as orders overseas do generally take around 10 working days to arrive and we will issue a refund as we will not replace due to your unfair feedback which clearly shows that you do not want to continue with your purchase. Regards.
To which they wrote this:
I am disappointed with the email I received back. Yes I will contact by Tuesday for a refund if my items are not delivered. I ordered the medals on the 23rd of April, therefore, by Tuesday I will have waited 14 days. I do not see how this review was 'unfair feedback' since it is exactly the service I received!
My reply:
Your order was dispatched on Wednesday the 24th meaning it has only been 7 working days since dispatch. Our response would have been completely different if you had given us the common decency to contact us and allow us chance to rectify the fact that your order has been delayed rather than leave a negative feedback but unfortunately you chose not to. Have a lovely weekend.
Which I know is unacceptable but I have had it with this type of buyer and it's about time someone told them how ridiculous it is and then maybe the next time it happens they will actually contact the seller 1st and it is quite true - if they had have contacted me 1st I would have done my utmost to help but TBH, really, what is the point after they neg with no contact?
It is only once in a blue moon that a buyer will get that type of a response from me and I do wish that I had calmed down and responded later but hey ho - these things happen.0 -
Should remove yourself from eBay and switch your computer off, when you feel you are ready to write back to someone, as an email is so instant to send and to vent in haste can come out badly ,and it can quickly escalate from virtually no issue , to suddenly, big snowballs.
Letting an emailer who is a completely random stranger get to you is a sign that you need either a) chocolate b) wine c) both !!
No good ever comes from getting irate on the web, stick to the retail facts of the case mention postal service use, but promise yourself you will never get annoyed, omit anything sarkie, and just log off , go back and reply when you are calm.0 -
Well in this case they had/have already done the damage but yes I do generally agree with you.0

I think we all occasionally just want to put "what a c***" in reply to feedback! (Or is it just me
) They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

also replying to messages/feedback after having wine and chocolate is not advisable either
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0
