Give it a Go Friday in-store event

Heard about Give it a Go Friday, our in-store event taking place on 22nd March? Be bold, be brave, be beautiful and try the latest trends and beauty products!

Ever admired your friend's gorgeous red pout, or the girl at work's extra luscious (false) lashes, but never dared do it yourself? We know we have.
So, spring's here, things are blossoming left, right and centre, and we want a piece of the action too. It's time to break out of our beauty comfort zones and boldly go where we've never been before.
Introducing..... Give it a Go Friday!

What is Give It A Go Friday?
It's one day - March 22 - where we can all unite, come together in Boots and try something new to add to our beauty repertoire. Just like getting ready for a big night out, we think it'll be more fun if we do it together, so we've made it into a beautylicious in-store event!
Pop into Boots at any time during the day and you'll be able to dabble in not one, not two, but a whole host of beauty looks to help wake up and make up your inner goddess! With products galore and all our consultants on hand to help, we guarantee you'll walk out the door all set to strut your stuff.

    Activity may include:

    Mini-makeovers
    Free product samples
    Goody bags
    Demos

More beauty hints, tips and secrets than you can shake a cuticle stick at!
So if you want to try falsies for the first time, learn how to use blue liner without looking like an '80s throwback, swap your nicely natural lipgloss for an in-your-face pillarbox red or fancy a new look for your locks, make sure March 22 is firmly in your diary.
Come on, we dare you... we double dare you!

Just to correct one of the listed Boots you've mentioned Gillby:

The Oxford Street, London Boots store is the one nearest HMV (while it still stands!) rather then the one nearest Debenhams: the one nearest Debenhams is called Sedley Place ;)

The list, including the comment re Oxford Street, is copied from Boots' own website - maybe they don't know the right names for their own stores!

Interesting how there are no less than 3 particpating in Glasgow! Nothing remotely near me though unfortunately.
  • I'm surprised Reading is not on the list the closest to me is London and thats a 45 min train + tube such a shame that they dont spread these things out a bit more :(
  • Has anyone been to one of these before? I ask because I hadn't planned to go to town on Friday but would pop in if I thought it was going to be good. Its always nice to try some free samples but I always worry they will only have about 10 and be all out by 9.30am. Weighing up is it worth the petrol.

I agree there's not a very good geographical spread but the 3 Glasgow stores are far apart, you'd need to catch several buses or drive to be able to get to them, 2 are in retail parks and the other in the city centre
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time

oooOOOooohh! Boots don't know they're own store addresses!!:rotfl: (sorry, I have a very strange sense of humour and for some reason find this hilarious). If you Google the address and you know Oxford Street you'll see what I mean- they only have four stores on Oxford street, only two of which are large enough to hold this sort of event and they've managed to pick the wrong one:T

I don't think they've ever done this sort of thing before- unless anyone knows otherwise...they've done similar sorts of things at their Advantage events nearer Christmas but the make-overs and treatments and so on are never advertised as the main part of the event, the main part for those events are all about the points.
Now if they were to offer a similar points event tied to this offer....
