Let us get you into the festive spirit with a winter weekend break. During December Christmas markets pop up all over Europe so why not combine your next weekend city break with a bit of festive cheer? We've got Christmas markets covered with flights from the UK to Frankfurt, Brussels, Antwerp, Copenhagen and Zurich.

Antwerp
Our newest European destination, Antwerp is home to a traditional Christmas market which this year is running from 8- 31 December. Start at Groenplaats in the city centre and follow the trail of almost 100 stalls selling everything from hot drinks and local delicacies to toys and hand made Christmas gifts. Brussels
Known as 'Europe's original Christmas market' by the UK travel trade, Brussels' hosts an annual 'Winter Wonder's festival from 30 November until 6 January 2013. At over 2km long, it has hundreds of stalls and attractions to choose from. Find out more about Brussels in our destination guide.

We fly to Brussels from East Midlands, Edinburgh & Leeds Bradford.


Copenhagen
Each Christmas the picturesque Tivoli Gardens becomes home to Copenhagens Christmas market. Last year guests were welcomed into a Russian themed winter wonderland complete with St Basils Cathedral. This year there will be a more traditional feel with stalls and decorations taking inspiration from Danish and Scandinavian heritage and a real life Nordic Father Christmas situated in the Pantomine Theatre which dates back to 1874. We fly to Copenhagen from Edinburgh and Glasgow.


Frankfurt
Germany is well known for its Christmas markets and the one in Frankfurt is over 600 years old. Situated in the old town in Römerberg square, there are over 200 stalls to browse. Visit between 26 November and 23 December and if you're there on a Wednesday or a Saturday you'll hear the famous tower horns being played on the balcony of Old St Nicholas church. Zurich
A range of Christmas markets pop up all over Zurich during December. A good option for when that weather gets just a little too cold is one of Europe's biggest indoor Christmas markets held in Zurich's main train station.
