Viners have a weekly deal starting on a a Monday. This week, Angel cutlery is reduced to 60p per item. Website says knives were £3.50 each, so could be a good reduction

A tablespoon is normally a large spoon used for serving, too big to use for eating. A dessert spoon is smaller, and usually used for eating dessert.

  • Thanks very much, so this dessert spoon could be used a normal spoon for eating rice?

Probably, though I can't say I've ever eaten rice (other than rice pudding) with a spoon! You must have used a dessert spoon before surely?

i use dessert spoons (10ml) for eating rice....table spoons are too big and are 15ml...they are better used for measuring

Yes this is the spoon you eat rice with , unless you have a VERY hearty appetite but it would not be a good idea to shovel it in with a large tablespoon!

A soup spoon would be too round and that just leaves a teaspoon which would be too small

Not everyone knows about British cutlery etc but my family grew up eating curry & rice with a spoon and fork as it is much easier & more affective for the sauce and for scooping the rice up than with a knife & fork :)
