Looks like another half-priced "Breakfast Offer" and will probably be National - though check first regarding your local meat offer.

8 British Pork Sausages (pork, Lincolnshire & Cumberland) - 454g = 74p (from £1.49).
Branston Beans - pack 4 x 410g = £1 (from £2).
Fresh Vine Tomatoes (loose) - 99p per kg (from £1.99).
Flat Mushrooms - 250g pack = 50p (from £1).

The sausages are the mid-range ones and not too bad really.

    How do you make a sausage plait, is it just plaiting the sausages together?

    Its a big home made sausage pie roll kinda thing - google it.

    Yep inspace is right. I just roll out puff pastry in a rectangle, then down the centre place sausagemeat mixed with sage and onion. Slash the sides and then plait up the pastry.
    Brush with egg wash or milk and in the oven for 40 mins or so.

    Such a cheap meal served with baked beans and very adaptable, too. Less sausages and more sage and onion if hard up. ;)

    Works well with tuna and a cheese sauce too and this week we had it with l/o chicken from roast and stuffing with a little gravy to loosen. :)

    Thanks OP about that time to stock up on baked beans, and the family won't eat anything other than Branston!
