I need confirmation or not of logic bomb virus

Hello,

I clicked on a link in an email from a friend and what appeared to be a fake anti-virus programme started telling me I had multiple infections which I have not. I got out quick and have run various scanners and appear to be fine.

Can anybody confirm whether or not this link is poisonous. I know that some of the techie experts use a testing programme for viruses/spyware et al.

    I've done what you suggested and it appears to be curently untested. I assume I re-enter the address in a few hours/days.

    Not sure what the turnaround time is for Trendmicro, but you can also try here...http://onlinelinkscan.com/ which shows the site you mention as safe, although for me it is blocked as malicious by Avast.

    That's the bit that caught my eye as well. Apparently it refers to Tadalafil. And possibly this.

    It could be counterpunching in boxing but as the sender is 55 and has as far as I'm aware no connection to pugilism I doubt it. My mind is going towards the obvious.

    Chances are the sender's email account or computer has been compromised and is now being used to relay spam.

    Yes, I'm coming around to that way of thinking. The message was also sent to 6 other recipients. I've sent him an email asking whether he actually sent this link.
