Windscreen wiper popped out!

My front wipers on my Corsa have been moving slowly for a couple of days. Figured it was the blades and they'd last til my next day off (Tues). Today I drove less than a mile from home and heard pop pop pop, then the wipers stopped working completely.
When I stopped to look, it looks like one of them has popped out of the joint (will post a pic when my phone charges enough to upload).
Anyone know if this is a relatively easy fix, and roughly how much it would cost?

Possibly something snapped inside. About £50 for the mechanism used. If you are very lucky it could just be the bolt holding the mechanism onto the body come out.0

It could of just come off the splines, have you tried pushing it back on?0

If its the ball joint type connection on the mechanism thats popped out, get one (or 2) of these.

Slow wipers could mean opening up the motor and giving it a wee clean. Not too hard, my sister managed it herself on her punto.0 -
Tried moving it but it won't move at all. Can't do much else til OH comes in, 6 month old and howling wind and rain don't go together that well."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

could be as simple as a nut coming loose.
allowing the machanism to shunt forward.
needs opened up to confirm0 -
You'll be looking at around £60 for a second hand mechanism. Although it may not need swapping it could just have come loose. Its easy to replace yourself. Just unbolt the the blade arms, the worse bits getting the black panel to come out.0
