Please advise me how to setup outlook express and IE for Sky broadband ?

I am shortly getting Sky bband.

For Outlook express, I have found the following info http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-email-portal-log/757-sky-email-setup-settings.html. Will this still work ?

I assume for IE that I don't need to do anything and it will work automatically once I hve set-up the Sky WIFI router ?

Please advise.

Many thanks.

This seems to be the one for Outlook Express, rather than Outllok 2003 - they're similar anyway - http://www.skyuser.co.uk/tutorials/1248.html

As for IE, once your connection is up and running, it should 'just work' !

For IE it will work as soon as your connection is up and running, you know there are other browsers out there apart form IE eg firefox, chrome opera etc.

..and remember, you don't need the disk to set up the router ;)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • I wouldn't bother with an email address from ISPs - it causes problems when you want to switch provider.

Get a webmail one such as hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc. You can read it from anywhere in the world and you're not tied down to an ISP.

  • Even if you leave Sky you can continue to use your sky email, as long as you log in periodically it remains active.

How do you set up the router please without the disk ?

The router arrives set up, all you do is connect it up, switch it on and as long as your sky BB has been activated on your line it will connect and away you go.

The disk is just a guide how to connect up the router and it has the awful mcrapee anti virus on there, which I and many others will not advise using.

Best suggestion for use of the disc is use it as a coaster:D
