Son has been invited to House of commons

Options
Hiya,
My 8 year old asperger son has decided to do a fun run and raise money to buy sensory toys for the autism school base which his friend goes to.
He decided to write some letters to ask for sponsorship. He sent them to the Queen, the PM, our MP and frank lampard.
Our local MP has written back invited my son and me for tea at the house of commons to talk about how the race went.
I'm absolutly gob smacked but proud as anything :D

I went back in 1990 and it was fantastic, I had the tour and the things you see are truly amazing, they have a book with every reigning monarchs signature in it from William the Conqueror all the way to Elizabeth II. As I was shown around my MP kept introducing me to people passing, I met the speaker, black rod, a previous PM and got a friendly nod from John Major. I hope you both have a fantastic day at the mother of Parliaments!

Everyone has the right to meet their MP at the House and be shown around. It belongs to US !

they were all very lovely and the building is wonderful!

You must be very proud, sounds to me like your lad has a very mature head on his tiny shoulders and if he carries on in this manner could do very well for himself in his life.

Well done and congratulations! I worked with autistic children in a secondary school last year and it changed my life! I'm now heading into my second year of uni aiming to be a teacher specialising in autistic children.

You should be proud of your son! Well done! :T
