Getting a good insurance deal with an IVA? I did!

Hi Everyone,
Just thought I would come on here and let you know that I got a good rate on my house insurance through going to a provider direct.
Basically, when I filled in my details on gocompare website it came up with some very good prices. Much better than the almost £400 from last year.
However I then realised I hadn't ticked the IVA box on declarations.
Went through again, and I think there was only one provider available, who wanted quite a hefty sum.
At this point I phoned up the people who had given me the good quote by going via their website (esure). I informed them that I had an IVA. They check it all and out still accepted me.
Result is a monthly saving of about £15 over my last provider.
So it pays to go through gocompare as a non IVA person and then when you get the results, ring up the insurance company you think offer the best deal.
At the end of the day, all they can do is say no!
