Great deals at Lidl and fresh every day!
Worth noting is Lidl's HALF PRICE WEEKEND where 4 items are featured each Saturday & Sunday.
This weekend 19th., 20th., Feb. offers are ;-
Spinach 250 grams 49p usually 99p
1.5.litre of Apple Juice 46p usually 93p
Vintage Reserve Cheddar Cheese 400 grams £1.44 usually £2.89 &
Fresh British Pork Loin Steaks 480 grams £1.49 usually £2.99.
These offers have featured from just before Xmas and change weekly. No limit on how many you can buy either! The only tip I would give is that they do tend to go very quickly although there is a lot of stock available if you go about 9 or 10 in the morning.
They also keep the offers back so if you are unable to get there on Sat. they would replenish offers for Sun.
I am surprised Martin has not featured this in his weekly e-mail as what a terrific money saving offer this is.

Not bad prices at all. Well worth taking the bus to my local Lidl if I can save in bulk on the fruit and veg.0

We're fortunate our 2 Lidls are fairly new stores, they are the opposite of yours cooking-mama. They're bright ,clean and the fruit and veg is cracking always fresh and good prices.Another bonus the staff in one of the stores are fab so much so I emailed their H.O. to say socooking-mama wrote: »Wish my local Lidl was a nicer place to shop, its dark and dingy and fruit n veg only seems to last a day..someone once told me they freeze(or very deep chill) their fruit n veg and thats why it goes off quick..anyone else experience this?

Same experience for me as macma, two newish stores - bright and modern. No problems with any veg. etc., also great staff. Only issue (sometimes) is lack of check-outs (normallt just one on), though TBH, they do put another one on when a queue starts to form.
I find Netto (very rarely use, if at all now) very dingy and B&M stores aren't exactly brilliant compared to my local Lidl's.

NETTOs now bought by ASDA so should be improving fairly soon.
I have a Netto across the road... they might be dark and dingy but boy are the offers really great! And once it turns to ASDA those offers will be gone

The store I go to is fine in terms of the interior but the fruit and veg isnt great as it simply doesnt last long enough. There are the odd exceptions but Ive given up buying it from there and am looking for alternatives.0 -
Netto is excellent - we travel once a month to a town 15 miles away to go there as well as a trip to B&M at the same time. Great offers, lower bills in the long run - that is how I LIKES to shop!!! lol3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
