Does anyone know how we can delete postings which have suddenly appeared on my wife's Facebook page and which have sent msgs to all her friends purporting to provide details of "Who's stalking you on Facebook"?
They give links such as todayurl.com/stalker and redirectway.com/stalker. I initially clicked on one of the links but thankfully it wasnt able to connect otheriwise I fear it would hack into my account.
I've googled the link but couldnt see anything that might help, does anyone know about this? Presumably it's some kind of scam?
My wife has now changed her password incidently.

Sounds like some sort of app thats been allowed access to her account, You can maybe block/delete it by having a look at her allowed applications and see if there is something there.
Also maybe an idea to send a message to her friends telling them not to click the link if they recieve it.Did you know that 6 out of 7 dwarfs are not happy?!0 -
Thanks Carcon, yes we've sent out a msg to everyone to try to warn them in case it is dodgy and I have managed to 'hide' but not necessarily delete it where it was listed under apps on the left handside - there isnt anyway of actually deleting it?
How would this of got on do you think?0 -
Check the applications that you have allowed access to the facebook account:

Brilliant, didnt think of that! Have now deleted the app so hopefully that will be the end of it?
Worryingly though my wife just got a msg via Facebook from someone supposedly acting on behalf of an estate of a deceased ancestor - someone who apparently worked on behalf of Shell in Togo of all places.
Clearly another scam especially when looking at the grammar and spelling .
It's very disconcerting and very annoying at the same time.0 -
Change the settings to only allow friends to send you messages:

(expand the "Who can send me messages" section)-Scott-
