I was going to open an account and got as far as the identity documents. One has to be a signed and certified copy and tbh I just cannot be bothered trying to find someone to do that at some cost to me, so my application will slide and I`ll just wait for something else0

It does seem picky. Tried to open a joint account with the Mrs. Accepted me ok, but wanted all sorts of id for the Mrs. Just opened it in my name in the end (probably best anyway

I applied today and it went through well quick and easy!
All I gotta do is post a copy of my signature to them, freepost.
Only mistake I made was that I chose my funds to go in via my 'nominated account', this means it's gonna take 10 days for the money to go in! If I had chosen debit card it would of been loads quicker, so I'm now trying to get hold of Post Office to see if I can change this...0 -
I think you can push money in using BACS - don't need to wait for the DD to go through.0
