edited 2 November 2010 at 6:04PM in It's gone, but was it any good?

Official MoneySavingExpert.com insert:

What's the deal?

You can get Tesco Mobile's 1 month SIM only contract deal for £10, including 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 'unlimited' data (500MB/mth). A similar SIM only package would usually start at around £15 elsewhere, so it's a nice little deal for a tenner.

How do I get it?

Buy online through Tesco Mobile while stocks last. It's only available online, and delivery is free.

Thanks to 5_princesses for the heads up. Back to the original post ...

The £6 deal expired the end of October, and yes the price remains the same throughout (I got 2 for my kids, and I checked!)

  • Yes, I'm on the £10 one (unlimited texts/ data and 500 mins) I totally remmend it, however bear in mind you'll get charged for picture messages? (I sent 4 and was charged an additional £1...oops!)

  • :money:This £10 Tesco deal for 500 mins runs out the end of this month!
    BUT

Always phone and your current provider and ask for a PAC code (to move your number to another provider, if you don't use it - it just expires after 30 days and nothing has happened)

    BUT

Usually when you ask for one your current provider will put you through to their Retentions Team who do have the ability to match deals or in my case BEAT them!

I'm with Virgin on SiM Only rolling monthly contract (same as Tesco) paying £10 for 300 mins & 300 Txt & No Internet.
The Virgin Retentions Team have just changed me to 800 mins & Unlimited Txts and Unlimited Internet monthly rolling contract exactly the same except it will show as £20 on my bill with a £10 credit each month - Result:money:
    Thanks Martin - again!:D

Be aware that Virgin are STILL having problems taking off the discount for this offer. They offered me 600 mins, unlimited text and web for £10 but every month they have cocked up the direct debit on all 3 of the phones I switched to this deal. Yesterday they told me that their IT team are finally onto it but it wont be sorted till January. SO expect to have to ring up next month to ask for a credit to be put on................as I have since September

Yes it can. But if you mean the iphone 4 then a little more complicated. You have to order as normal and register when you get it (also wait for your number to port if thats what your doing). you then have to call them back and ask for a the micro sim and wait for that to be sent to you. Bit drawn out but but worth it. They dont / cant supply micro sims as sim only deals (well couldnt a few weeks ago).
  • oh and if like me you are already a tesco mobile customer (i was on the old £15 a month deal 500 minutes unlimited txt and data) you can just call up and ask to change plans - easy. :)
