i just looked on abbey website and it says at the bottom in small wrighting that the credit card from abbey national is provided by mbna,
when you go to cahoot, they say there card is run by abbey national,
so cahoot is not run by mbna??0 -
Hi Sophiec
Welcome to the credit card board!
I have an Abbey credit card and I can confirm that Abbey cards are issued by MBNA.
Cahoot is certainly a division of Abbey, but the Cahoot credit card is not provided by MBNA.
Hope this helps

MBNA also do the bmi card, but not the bmi baby card which is Citibank.0

Cahoot cards are issued in house. Therefore the card is issued by Abbey National, as they provide all the banking facilities for Cahoot.
The Abbey card is issued by MBNA. However this is due to change, with the first cards done by the end of this year and everyone else next year. At the moment it does seem like a bizarre agreement, especially as there are surely far more Abbey cards in circulation than Cahoot ones.0
