Please help, we need a new hoover as our Golden Retriever likes to leave her hair everywhere, we also have wooden floors all over the house ( Also large rugs so our dog is obviously not sliding everywhere.
I need help in choosing a very good hoover that will work with both the hair and wooden floors. All reviews would be welcome.
Thank you in advance

Recently bought a Vax C90 for £70 from Amazon. Fantastic. There are so many models to choose from so I just set a realistic budget and just bought one after reading the reviews. Should last at least 5 years so it's 27 pence per week.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

we have a Miele Cat & dog TT. Miele is frequently recommended by Which? for being effective and reliable. Ours is 5 years old and has seen out 2 dogs and is now coping with a long haired cat. The vacuum head (bit that goes on the floor) has 2 settings, one for carpet and one for solid floors. I think this is fairly standard and it works well.0

Hi, Is it any good on wooden floors, my current hoover seems to blow all the hair away rather than pick it up?
The reviews for this are excellent so a possible contender, thankyou.I am only trying to help :rolleyes:0 -
I've found the best for pet hair on rugs, carpets sofas etc - Bissell Pet Hair Eraser - they often have either reconditioned models or reduced price offers if you sign up for their email. Their customer service has also been fantastic. On wooden floors though the best thing I have found is a rubber broom ( then vacumn up the sweepings) I bought mine via ebay. HTH.0

I also second the Miele cat and dog. I worked as a domestic cleaner a couple of years ago and it was by far the best i ever tried. This was in a house with 4 dogs and 5 cats! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

I have a Miele cat and dog vacuum cleaner, along with a short-haired indoor cat and two long-haired cats, one of which is indoors only. The Miele is very good - it has a number of different attachments to deal with different situations. It also has a good control on it for a very gentle suction for cleaning delicate things eg curtains, going up in increments to a super strong suck for your most grubby carpet. I actually use it to vacuum the bed as my three kitties love to snooze on there, and to vacuum the sofa and scatter cushions. I've even been known to vacuum clothes with it when they are sporting a lot of cat hairs. I also like it because you can move from hard floor to carpet and back without having to swap the attachment for the particular surface. IMO it could do with an extra couple of metres flex, but that really is the only complaint I have about it.0

Definately the Dyson animal, as it's easy to push around, has a hard floor setting and also has a turbo head if the hair is really sticky. Use the turbo head to clean the sofas.
Coped with long hair from springer and cat hair.0
