OK, so easy jet want to charge me 15.00 for '1 hold bag'
I am wondering... Is a hold bag a suitcase that I have to check in? What if I don't want to take a suitcase and I just want to take a very small ruck sack on the plane, will they still charge me?

A hold bag is a suitcase going into the planes storage hold. However carry on luggage should be free.0

A 'hold bag' is any bag that exceeds the airline size/weight/number for hand luggage. Therefore what you need to is check the airlines website for the maximum hand luggage and then decide if your bag will exceed it. Just been to Salou for a couple of days.Flew with Ryanair,i know they say 10kg for hand luggage,but christ,you could have got a grand piano in some of the bags in the overhead lockers.0
