Can anyone help me. I have received a couple of text messages today from an unknown number with someone's credit card number, security code, National insurance and home address details. Obviously this appears to be highly suspicious to me, and I would like to inform the relevant card issuer to advise of a possible fraud alert on the card. I have phoned the police who weren't even interested in taking the card number to check the provider.
So does anyone has a Visa starting with the prefix 4547? And could you tell me who the card provider is please, just so I can give them a call and inform them? Thank you

I'm not a fraud investigator, and this certainly seems fraudulent or at least highly suspicious to me. So I don't intend making any contact with the person who sent this to me.
Thanks YorkshireBoy, I followed your link and have informed the relevant bank.0
