    No difference.

Apart from the fact they've just refused OH plastic bag at Bristol security.

This is the plastic bag from Heathrow security !!!!

I am flying from Bristol to Newcastle. Does that make a difference?

Some airports charge £1 for these bags.

Get your currency from Ramsdens (rates are good), and you get a free bag.

I just use 'ziplock' bags from Tesco....have never had a problem yet. But then usually all i have in them is one lip salve and a small hand cream.

Nearly came unstuck once, when i went into airport's Boots for some moisturiser in a 250ml tube, before realising that i was't airside yet....remembered just in time!
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.31% of current retirement "pot" (as at end March 2024)

    Did they give a reason?

i had a bag with "east midlands airport" on it refused at manchester last year, which i believe are owned buy the same company.
if you drop on a security guy in a mood there's no reasoning with them, he just said it was too big despite me showing him the ema logo!
i had 8 100ml bottles in it, the ones they give you are smaller than the maximum size allowed so i had to throw a couple of bottles.
at the other end when putting stuff back in i commented on the bag to another security and she said that bag was fine and couldn't understand why it'd been pulled, but too late as he'd already thrown 2 bottles.
