I doubt if I will be going out again this evening so I have 196.1 miles for February.
Walking time 72 hours 29 minutes
Ascent 10,226ft
Calories burned 35,2000 -
Oh dear!
Steps.
In January I only achieved 90% of my target.
February got worse (in very small part to a minor injury) I achieved only 79% of my target!!!!
Steps after 2 months achieved 85% of target to date.
Note to self, I must try harder. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
311 miles for me now. Nothing like enough. 38 this week. The weather has cooled down a bit so I should get a few more miles in. We got a good old fashioned Aussie drenching this week in fact the last 2 nights it rained so hard it woke me up and today when I went for a walk in the park I had to hide under the pagoda with the tourists due to the rain! To be expected for me for Feb but things are slowly getting better so hope to be up to full weekly mileage in the next couple of weeks (this week will be low due to a short race on Sunday)
Count: 22 Activities
Distance: 129.38 mi
Time: 20:23:47 h:m:s
Elevation Gain: 1,852 m
2017 Total: 243.8 mi (90 miles behind target give or take)
Really must start bringing that up a bit“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
February report: 158 miles against a target of 153.5 (that's 343 miles for the year so far). Just squeaked it. But since the weather has been horrible most of the month, and I've gone to all of my fitness classes apart from the ones where I was out of the country I'm ok with that. I'm hoping March might be a bit better the longer evenings are helping a lot! Target is 170 but I'd like to go a bit further than that if I can but let's see how it goes.
Good luck for March everyone!0 -
42.7 mi for me this week. Getting back to nearly full training.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0

48 miles... would have been more if it wasn't for the flu causing me grief!
347.7 miles total, which is 1.55 miles ahead of the weekly total target Finally broke into and starting to build a buffer... lets hope it stays like that and I can build a decent gap so I can wind down in the latter months a little!
oh, trainer update. Ended up with some cheap Karrimor shoes from sports direct. Rubbed me a little however picked up some Aldi walking socks which sorted that right out! Now, lets see how long they last before they fail and have to be replaced!0 -
I'm really interested to see this thread, and I wish you all luck.
I had seen the 1000 mile walk challenge, but that's a bit tame. I do a bit more than 20 miles a week, anyway. 40 a week would just take up too much time at the moment.
So I shall stand back and applaud those taking part. :T:T:TNo reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Hello Peeps!
Reporting in at the end of the 9th week 5 March 2017:
As of midnight last night, I have walked 914.53 km (568.26 miles) putting me 345.36 km (214.60 miles) ahead of schedule.
Quite pleased that last week, despite 2 days off, I managed 50+ miles. In other news, BP and weight is also on a downward trend.
Keep on keeping on!In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
