The rent and Christmas savings went out today. I really must pay the council tax and tv license tomorrow as still haven't quite got round to it. Today has been a NSD other than bus fare to work this morning.

Tomorrow after work, I plan to have a wander round the shops and see if there's anything I want to get with my birthday vouchers.

I went and paid the council tax and tv licence today so at least they are out of the way. The £5 reward went into my bank account today and I used it towards buying travel tickets for going home to see my family in August, cost £5.50. I also spent £5.93 in Sa*nsburys on a couple of things. I got another £1.50 off £10 spend voucher so will try and use that next week.

I tried posting yesterday but it didn't work, still seems dodgy today so don't know if this will post. Yesterday was a NSD other than bus fare to work, think today will be the same.

I'm having major problems charging my laptop, its been difficult for a while but I couldn't get it to charge at all yesterday. The problem is with the charging port rather than the charger so not sure how expensive it would be to fix. Or I could maybe get an external battery charger, fingers crossed it is just being temperamental and will work later.

I got my payslip yesterday so will get £120.15 tomorrow.
    - £20.15 emergency fund
    - £10 loan
    - £30 present fund (I have two birthday presents to buy this month plus my friend just had a wee girl)
    - £30 food
    - £30 underwear

I also had problems posting over the last two days, it kept saying connection error and I lost a whole long post.

Yeah there seems to have been ongoing problems for the last few days. Very annoying, will see if this posts.

So yesterday ended up not being a NSD, I decided to go shopping after work and spent £30 on underwear plus £5.89 on toiletries. Payday today so put money to the emergency fund and the loan.

I'm currently on my way down to my friends hen do. I have £100 in my purse but will hopefully spend less than that.

Keeping the post short just in case it gets lost, will hopefully write a longer post soon.

Yay the forums seem to be fixed, can start posting again properly and catch up on everyone else's diaries.

So first the big news, my sister got engaged :j so super excited about this. I'll see her tomorrow once all the hen do stuff is over so looking forward to a catchup with her.

I'm having a fab time with my friends although have been up for ages as the room where I'm sleeping has a skylight with no blind and it starts getting light about 3.30 so I've been awake since 6. Not really what you want after an evening of wine drinking and a late night.

I have redeemed a £30 Am*zon voucher from GTM so just waiting for it to hit my email account. I've forgotten how much is sitting in vouchers already, will need to check this.

Think that's about it for now, hope everyone has a good weekend.

Thanks monz, I had a fantastic weekend. I went slightly over budget (about £10 over) but it was worth it. Really looking forward to the wedding in two weeks time.

Today I spent £35.64 at the supermarket and got a £5 voucher towards next shop.

True INOD, what a great way to look at it :)

Today has been a NSD, I was tempted to go in to grab something to go with tea but OH (:A) reminded me that we didn't really need it and that if I went into a shop, I would probably come out with 2 or 3 other items. So my NSD was saved :)

I'm managing to get my computer charged now although it means sitting holding the charger in which obviously isn't very practical. At some point I'll need to make a decision about it but it will do for now.

Now that my agency seems to have picked up for shifts, OH seems to be struggling. Typical. He only had two shifts last week and only has two for this week. Just hammers it home that we really need an emergency fund up and running. Or else one of us has to find a permanent full time job. I'm sure it will pick up soon, in the meantime we'll just try to be a bit more frugal.

I've still not been a wander round the shops to see if there's any clothes I like to get with my birthday vouchers. I'll have to get the birthday presents for this month at some point as well. I finish work at 1pm tomorrow so may go a wander round then.
