Waiting for deposit

Options
Hi,

I moved out of a property on 23rd December.

On 6th Jan I received correspondence from the letting agency with a list of deposit deductions. I replied to this email the same day with queries about this deductions, and have heard nothing since.

is there anything I can do to speed this up apart from contacting them? Do they have to refund part, or all, of the deposit within a certain time frame by law?

Thanks in advance

They have 14 days and can not deduct for fair wear and tear. You need to open a dispute with the company holding the deposit

Put in a a single claim to the depost scheme for ite release.

Do you agree all, some, or none of the deductions?

Thanks for your replies - I was under the impression that it was 14 days for them to give us deposit feedback, and not for the amount, whatever it may be, to be returned?

Where is the deposit being held? It should be in a protection scheme.
Google the company, and find out what their rules are.
You may then be able to request the undisputed amount of your deposit back via the website. I assume the landlord sent you the details of this at the beginning of the tenancy when the deposit was lodged with the protection scheme?
