The Sun spam emails

Options
I receive spam emails from The Sun/ News International, nothing unusual you may think, but they contain NO means to unsubscribe.

Is this actually legal? does anyone know what action I can take against them.

As you specifically asked about the law: this would fall under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.

Section 22(3)(c) states that the sender can only email where:
the recipient has been given a simple means of refusing (free of charge except for the costs of the transmission of the refusal) the use of his contact details for the purposes of such direct marketing, at the time that the details were initially collected, and, where he did not initially refuse the use of the details, at the time of each subsequent communication.
in an ideal world, this would be a link, but could also be instructions on how to unsubscribe by calling an 0800 number of visiting a web page etc.
