Just keep relisting on fleabay, stuff will sell in the end! Maybe try a smaller car boot for your first one? Schools and colleges do them round here in their car parks and they tend to be smaller sized events!

Yea I'm going to list stuff even if i don't think it will sell on Ebae just so I have a list of prices and items I can take to a car boot and feel a bit more organised rather than keep boxes of stuff and have no idea what's in there...

Totalled everything up and this month my extra cash is...
    1. Ebae earnings April - £117.75 (27 items)
    2. Surveys/mystery shopping - £23.50
    3. Interest/Cashback from 123 account - £4.02 + £7.87
    4. Other cashback - £0 (£26.67 earnt but cannot withdraw until end of May so not counting this in this month)
    5. Savings from weekly budget - £49.94
    6. Overtime in work £0 (next payday is 10 May)
    7. Other - £21 TBC

    So total is £224.08!!!

Swimming lessons (from Ebae) is £117.75 (target £180 for 2017)
    Mortgage overpayment £106.33

I'm really happy with how my first full month of tracking it all has been. Hopefully May will be better!!! I ALREADY have £26.67 earnt from cashback for may. Hopefully my May figures will be higher than April's and once I hit £180 in ebàe any extra will go towards mortgage overpayment!! I am currently drip feeding some stoozed money Into monthly savers where the interest is paid annually so for two months of the year the total will be a lot higher.

I do worry that my Ebae will slow down a bit as I will have less things to post on Ebae... but can hopefully find other ways to increase the extra money...
Balance at start of mortgage Dec 2011 £87500

    1 Jan 2016 = £66,558 Overpayments = £4,770 (average £397.50 p/m)
    1 Jan 2017 = £57,756 Overpayments so far Jan £0 Feb £550 Mar £3022 April £690 May £1513 total £5775

I paid £100 a month, off the term, for approximately 10 years, took 6 years off my term. Well worth doing as I'm now mortgage free.

Hey! Just found your diary and love it! I'm also addicted to overpaying my mortgage and keep a spreadsheet or every penny I make and then mark when it's been moved to mortgage - it's so great to see how much difference being focused on it can make. Keep up the good work!
On a mission to be mortgage free!

Ebae is really slow atm... but I'm still relisting hoping some will sell... I've had a bonus come through with work which is a nice number to add to this months extra money however I think it's demotivated me a little bit. I've saved £6.26 from some spending this week which will go towards the months total and my £26 cashback earnt in April will be cashed out this month.

The sun is shining so spending more time at parks and out about rather than focusing on everything else. But at least I'm not spending the money lol

I'm thinking of opening another monthly saver too at 5% to run some more stoozed money through. Just need to get myself to the bank to sort it out. But again zero motivation. Not sure what's wrong with me the last few days...

Sorry, I haven't had a chance yet to read all of the pages, but I do have questions. What are you selling on ebay? Do you find buy it now or auction listings are best? Which part of the country are you from? (I'm in Scotland) I was wondering what are your tips for no spend days out? (We have a 5 yo) I really admire your progress. Hoping you can give me some inspiration xx

Have you tried selling things on Facebook? I was finding Ebay really slow too and nothing was selling. Then I discovered Facebook selling and I've sold lots of items on there already - it's so easy and there's no fees or need to post anything. :)

Hey girl in the green scarf. I am selling literally everything in my house that I no longer want/need. Some are brand new things eg. Gifts, stuff I've bought that I've no longer a use for but never used. Some are old clothes/shoes. I sold a broken watch. Purfume that I've never used. Literally anything and everything lol

I find the best is to start auction at 99p and list for ten days. A lower starting price always ends up with a higher selling price. I listed a swim suit for £5 and it didn't sell I relisted it at 2 50 and it sold for £8. So I like to start my listings quite low .

With no spend days I always pack a lunch and treats and usually find free events in the area to go to. DD is always allowed to take one toy with her so if she wants to buy something I tell her she's already got her toy and maybe she can have it for her birthday/Xmas. Or generally go somewhere where there isn't a choice to spend money like the park or for a walk. If I take her for a walk I make it into a little adventure (she's 4) so we take a bucket and she collects leaves/acorns/flowers/stones etc which makes the trip fun for her and a no spend day for me.
I always have a notebook and some colouring pens in my bag too so wherever we go if i need to distract her she has that and is happy with it. Not sure how long that will last tho...

    Hope this helps you :)

I'm still having a bit of a zero motivation week .... no new items listed or sold... I currently have 36 items listed and only two of them have bids on... need to empty my cupboards to see if theres anything else worth selling...

    Mortgage update: balance 51690

Just phoned to max out my 10% for the year so I've just made a payment of £1513 which will bring my mortgage down to £50177. I so wish it was under 50k but I won't be able to make any more overpayments until 1 Jan 2018.

My next month's regular mortgage payment will take it down under 50k tho so I guess that will be nice to see.

What i have budgeted to overpay in June July August and September (total £2000) will be saved to replace the stoozed pot. October November and Decembers money (total £1500) will be used to give myself a head start in 2018.

This still leaves me £221 which is the number I am aiming to earn extra from any other income.

    So far I've got £32.91/£221.

Last month my interest was £90. This month my interest was £86. With this last overpayment I think my interest will be around £83/4.

Im estimating my balance to be approx £47000 in Jan 2018. Not sure how good my maths is but would be interesting to look back and read this lol.

Even tho I won't be overpaying my mortgage as I've maxed out my 10% allowance I will still be tracking any extra money I have which I will keep a total of to overpay in January. After I've achieved £221 target, I am going to set myself another target of £4700 which is 10% of what I think the balance will be Jan 2018. I would love to be in a place where I can max out my 10% on the first day of the calendar year.

Not sure if this post has made sense to anyone else (it does in my crazy little head)

Maybe I will post again but in bullet points...

This might be clearer for everyone to read :)

    1. June July August September savings to replace stoozed pot (£2000)
    2. October November December savings to overpay in Jan 2018 (£1500)
    3. Earn an extra £221 to replace stoozed money. £32.91/£221
    4. Achieve a Target of £3200 to max out 10% in Jan 2018 (3200 + 1500 = 4700 estimate)

I know the target of 3200 is a bit crazy, I'd be happy if i hit half of the target but set it higher to try and motivate and push myself to achieve it.
