Kitchen worktop fit

Options
We need a new laminate worktop fitted in our kitchen. There's 3.35meters to fit, one sink cut out, one mitre and two ends to make good where the oven fits in. No backboard and we remove the old worktop simple fit job. We've been quoted £260 to fit and wondered if this was the going rate, we are based in Milton Keynes. The chap has done work for us before and his work is top quality as he was with us for 8 weeks on our extension build so we know he does tend to quote a bit higher than most at times but wanted others opinions.

10 years ago we paid £400 for a simlar job but they removed the old worktop and fitted a back board, if that helps?

Perhaps good tradesmen are easy to come by in Milton Kenyes but if they are anything like where I live (hard even to get a quote let alone get the job done and done well) if you've found someone reliable who does a very good job then £260 is well worth paying.

That's an average price, not to high or low. If you know he is ok that's the most important thing.
