    Thread started 5 days ago with possibility of OP 'jumping' on a plane that day.Any update on what (if anything) has happened in the intervening 5 days?

    That is a thought. I'm eligible for a US ESTA now, but will most likely lose this eligibility next year.

    Once you apply for a US ESTA it is valid for 2 years.
