Reclaiming ppi on goldfish loan

Hi back in 2004 I took a loan out with goldfish loans I paid it off in 2007 I have no paperwork but I have found the last payment made in 2007 on my bank statement with a reference number I am aware that goldfish loans no longer trade can anyone help me find out who I can call or write to, to find out if I had ppi on this loan?? Thanks

    It's a bit of an odd one, I believe Lloyds TSB (as it was then) took the loans side of Goldfish initially but a post on MSE from 2009 suggested Hitachi subsequently bought it.

    You will need to ring them both and ask them and see if they have any records left, or risk £10 on a DSAR (request for all the data they hold on you). Given the approx 9 years from account closure, in line with the DPA chances are they will have deleted the records now especially as it was paid off before the company sold the loans on.
