Morning all
Feeling exceptionally tired today. Two cups off coffee just haven't hit the spot so had to up it with two cups of tea to get me going this morning.
So I don't get too over excited about the prospect of having circa £1000 a month to 'play' with come July I have decided to start investigating what needs to be done next financially so that money is not squandered on rubbish.
Here is my list so far:
- £500 a month for holidays - this is a priority for us.
- Reinstate our long term savings - £100 a month each. Not sure where to put it yet ISA? Probably high interest savings account and then ISA.
- £500 'overdraft' - the first thing to save for through 'slushing' after the CC is paid off.
- Reinstate £50 a month car maintenance fund.
- Considering reviving my old private pension and husbands at £50 a month each for the time being.
Upping spending money per month to £150 from £100 - wooooo rock and roll!
- £100 a month for Christmas and the 3 birthdays in our family that are in the autumn.
This still leaves circa £300 a month but husband needs to up his pension per month so that might be covered by that.
Lots of food for thought and setting up these pots is my biggest priority.

Morning diary,
half term this week. Planning a relaxing one with not much movement or stress as don't feel I've had a proper break since I started back at work in November. Also planning to keep spends to a minimum and eat of the cupboards. Want to get organised as well so I'm very ready for the next half term of work.
Still waiting for the money from my parents to come through. Hopefully the next few days. Just worked out march is a 5 week month so will have to be extra carefully with food and fuel to make the money last.
I finally registered for. Gold are vouchers last week which will be applied to my march pay. Hoping this will reduce our outgoings a bit more.
Lots to do! As always trying to balance playing with my children and getting stuff done.

Planning for where the additional £1k is going to go is a great plan – it takes temptation out of your way and means you can treat it like another bill! I’ll need to remember that little nugget for when I’m a bit closer to DFD.
Wow – you’ll need to have a mini celebration when you reach sub £5k! I’m not talking champagne and a party, more like a pat on the back and giving yourself some regognition!CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

Morning diary!
Pay day today. Got paid about £200 more than I thought I would. Don't know why until I see my pay slip at work on Monday. I think/hope I'm just brilliant at over estimating. So I've put £500 into the childcare pot and £500 away into another savings account to pay for the following:
MOT - £40 (unless there is any work that needs doing)
Tyres - £90 - already done but needs paying off the husbands CC. The guy said the back ones need doing so...
Tyres - back £130 - husband needs to book today.
Car tax - £60 - already have the form through.
Dentist me - for a much needed scale and polish
acupuncture me - £50 i think - for my dodgy shoulder
This comes to £346 so fingers crossed the car doesn't need anymore work doing to it and i will have circa £150 for debt slushing.
I know i have over estimated for childcare too so hopefully will have even more. Really think ill pay it off the loan to get that done and dusted sooner.
Husband gets paid a week today so hoping for some money left over from him too. He has chased his expenses - I'm sure we are due another £300 - £400 which will be awesome!!
Thank Crunchy its Friday!

Mean work place. don't they have any dependency leave?
Hope the children get better soonIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.
