I am SUCH a good mood today :)

OH's card came, so I've BT all but £1100 of that onto my two new 0% cards.

I've blitzed the kitchen, and really pleased with it, it looks way bigger lol, I've made pizza dough as requested by my five year old, so that's ready to make pizzas when I get him from school.

I'm itching to make an overpayment but OH needs his eyes tested and we think his prescription has changed so will need new glasses, so I don't want to us the money to overpay until we know where we are with his glasses

Gonna have a quick tidy of sitting room (dd has got a fair few toys out lo,7 then it will be time to go get my son from school xx

    Good afternoon everybody.

What has everybody been up to today. I did the meter reading this morning then asda came and forgot half the shopping, thankfully van cane back, and delivered by missing items. I need to go on and request a refund as they have overcharged me for some things.

Then I attempted to make crispy cakes but they didn't work for some reason and the crispy part is all gooey.

I then made some mini calzone pizza for mine and OH's lunch for the next two days.

We've just had a delicious chicken dinner with leftovers for tomorrow night.

Today was a no spend day I have decided that I will class it as no spend days if we haven't physically spent money, if a bill or shopping or petrol comes out then that doesn't Count lol

Once I've got the children to bed I need to transmit The barcodes to shop and scan and pay the excess from shopping to next xx

    Morning all

I am off work today, I had no childcare.

The Mini Calzone's that I made for mine and OH's lunch were delicious so I will def be doing them again :)

I've just ordered two new car seats for the kids (a group 1 for DD and group 2/3 for DS) as we are using my mam's as they haven't been replaced from the crash yet, but OH was getting nervous as DD's is really hard to fit and he didn't think my Aunty could have been fitting it properly in her car. So I've ordered them both Britax ones, and they both look really easy to fit (but yet secure)

We were waiting for the money from the car insurance company (which has been approved) but its linked into DS's injuries claim, so it doesnt get paid till that is sorted, the hearing for his claim is 18/11/15 so not much longer, and whatever the judge decides is final, so we should have the money sometime in december for the car seats and my loss of earnings. So I've used some of our christmas savings to pay for it.

    Great work KoG.
Just remember you've done all that xmas shopping, my wife has a habit of doing the xmas shopping early, then seeing good deals or great presents in Nov / Dec and buying more

Hope you get to start 2016 with one less card :)

Your story is totally inspiring. My OH and I had £49.5k at our LBM earlier in the summer. We've just gotten below £48k but still a long way to go. I've just done a snowballing calc and have 62 months to freedom but I'm not currently working. I've started looking for temp work that I can do whilst the kids are at school which will be able to slash that.

If you don't mind me asking, how much have you managed to clear since you started?

PS. I need to post my diary too! A job for the weekend.

Hey Avogirly, so pleased to hear you have kept up with your debt busting :) it's great to hear from you

Yes Lazer that's def a fear lol, once I'm finished I need to somehow stay away from Internet shopping lol, I need to get a wii u still, but I'm hanging on for Amazon's black Friday in the hopes its in there (it was last year)

Thanks Hiddenshadow, it's amazed me how well it's working doing that, cos in the past any spare would have just got wasted.

Hi Borderguy, thank you very much :) well done for getting it under £48k, and 62 months is an awesome time frame. Def get a diary on the go if you can, I've really found it helps. We have only managed to pay off about £3k since the start of the year, we had 11 cards on high apr, 3 store accounts, 2 overdrafts and a loan to the in laws, which brings me into my awesome news from the last week. OH was accepted for a 0% card last week :) and I got home from work on Wednesday to a letter from Virgin (we had paid them off via BT last month) offering me 0% for 2 years, and the yesterday I got a letter from HSBC saying I had been accepted for a 0% card for 32 months woo hoo.

If we discount the HSBC one for now, it's means that we currently only have £3300 in CC debt on high apr (out of roughly £30k) would be super amazing if when the hsbc card comes the limit covers that, then that will mean the only debt we have on high apr is our two overdrafts :)

I am really really looking forward to 2016, and for most of 2015 for every £1000 we paid a month, £700 ish was going back on in interest, and that's not going to happen now :)

I haven't totalled it all up yet cos I've got money bouncing left right and centre lol, and I have added a few hundred in BT fees (but is worth it in the end) I'm thinking by the time the new card gets to me, it will prob be nov/dec statements that reflect all the money being moved to its new places?

I've been asking on the CC forum about the ones we have nil balances on now. And the companies we have aren't very good with offering existing customers offers, so I need to close those down (two are in OH's name with a limit of £10k total) and then keep checking the credit card eligibility calc on here, coz I think someone told me MBNA/Virgin do money transfers on 0% so would be good if OH can get them then we can shift the over drafts to 0% and it will all be 0%
