Stayed at the hotel eiffel kennedy a couple of years ago. Very pleasant, clean and comfortable, staff friendly, free wifi (or it was). Very reasonably priced. Could see the eiffel tower from our window and a lovely wander down the isle of swans, taking in the original statue of liberty gets you to the eiffel tower in about 20mins.0

Veering towards this place now. I'm really struggling to decide as there is so, so much in my budgeted price range!

That's in a nice area but a bit of a walk or a short bus ride into the city centre. There's a very good but cheap restaurant on the right of Rue Soufflot with the Pantheon on your right and the Eiffel Tower in the distance to the left.
Yeah, I thought that. However, the closer walking distance one gets to the centre, the more the cost. Budget is £200 for 2 nights. Any other thoughts?
What is that restaurant called?0 -

After much deliberation and endless Booking.com searches, I opted for this one https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g187147-d197420-Reviews-Saint_James_Albany_Hotel_Spa-Paris_Ile_de_France.html
Got it at a good price. Some negative reviews but took a punt. If nothing else it is very central so nice and easy to get around.0 -
Only a couple of weeks until Paris and now I am trying to find a fantastic restaurant to dine in for one of the nights, and am stuck! I am looking for somewhere quite special with French cuisine, but without the Michelin starred price list. I will be googling, googling, googling but also really keen to hear recommendations..0

Typical French bistro with normally a queue outside. Tables are shared when it is busy (which is most of the time).
It can be a great experience.0 -
