Hi, we have had quotes for around £7,000 to retire our old cob house. 3 bed, kitchen, 2 reception rooms, 1 bath, 1 shower. Does this sound reasonable?
Many thanks

What does the rewire include?
Number of sockets per room? Lights? Inset spotlights? Coaxial sockets? Electric showers?
Need more info.

I would say get more too - But Cob is not a normal construction and may put a few installers off!0

Yes, we have had 3 so far.
First one as above from apparently reputable electrician with all the right credentials
Second wouldn't be pinned down as he wasn't sure how much work would be needed.
Third was cheaper with no VAT, but no apparent qualifications or accreditation
