    Evening everyone!

Wow, nearly a whole month since I last posted! Where did that time go?!

Its been an expensive month - computer packed up (hence no diary updates!) new business sucked a fair few pounds out of my pocket to get it really going too!

The overpayments have suffered as a result - but the good news is that groceries still coming in roughly on budget and my regular daily mse habits remain (lunch to work, charging phone at work, no tumble dryer use, low heating use etc..) so all is not lost!

Back on track next month with the £1700 payments (£2000 is still the goal!) should be ok with this despite xmas looming.

Just a quick post tonight as its taken me so long to get new computer up and running! I'll be back to the regular entries asap!

    Night night!

    Evening all!

Spent most of last night setting up computer and reloading YNAB, managed to tot up current balances and updated sig! I also worked out that we're on track to have another credit card closed by end of January and the final 2 by the end of 2016 (that's without any bonuses from work too) After that it's just the loans and we're on the home straight to DFD of Feb 2018. Given the setbacks we've had here and there I'm really pleased with this, I'm just going to focus on chucking everything spare at the first cc now...£2121.24 by the end of January is rally do-able...think I'll update my sig with this goal to keep me motivated!!

Anyhows i'm off to bedfordshire (aka bed!) I'm absolutely pooped!!!

    Night night all xxx

Thanks brizzled, its good to be back!

A bit more chucked at the debt this week and sig updated. I have bought some Christmas presents and decided to put some money away for the hubsters bday (its a big one!), so I'll have to re-jig the overpayments this month but it wont affect the target of Jan for the next CC to be cleared so that's good.

Bit of a spendy week this week with it being half term but it was all planned and the spends were low considering how much we packed in!

Over 21% paid off without the overpayments for November...looking forward to clearing the CC and hitting 25%, a small milestone but it feels so good!

The visual on the notice board with 21 squares coloured in is so motivating!

Will have to really watch the groceries this month to hopefully claw a little extra overpayment in before December hits...really going to work hard on this!

    Happy Halloween everyone!

    Evening All

Had a lovely weekend - enjoyed the Halloween festivities with the family, made headway on the Christmas shopping (just a few bits to get next payday now that's it!) and cleared another £600 to CC2 - sig now updated accordingly.

Planned the weeks menus as well - and did a fairly light shop as had plenty in to keep us going.

Fingers crossed by 1st Jan CC2 will be cleared. Now that would be a lovely start to 2016 with the end being no more balances on CCs!!

Feeling firmly back in the driving seat with the finances over the last few weeks-its good to know that another milestone will be reached within a matter of weeks!

I purchased an argos card through work and saved 8% so used my lunch hour to buy the various obligatory childrens gifts on a 2 for £15 basis. Just a handful of gifts left to buy now for family and friends and just stocking fillers for the girls. All of this will now come from next months pay.

Ate out of the freezer tonight - a lovely stirfry, DDs lapped it up bless them!

Aiming for NSDs right through until the end of the week now to keep me on track - taking one day at a time...

    Plan for tomorrow ..
    -NSD
    -take lunch to work
    -charge mobile at work
-soup out of freezer for tea with hm bread
-keep heating off! HWB to the ready!

Have some income coming in from new venture this week too - I'm only making about £80pm at the moment but it all helps. Haven't been able to draw any of that from the business yet due to the fact I need to reinvest for a bit longer to ensure I have the right amount of stock, but I think by the beginning of 2016, I could draw at least £50pm - that's an extra £600 per year off the debt - not gonna make me a million but its a hobby that's going to pay and contribute and I'm happy with that!

    Happy Monday all!

Thanks brizzled I like that idea!

The lurgy has descended upon us! Booo! Only colds but nonetheless everyone feels pretty miserable. Didn't quite manage a NSD as needed to buy the usual paracetemol and ibuprofen for kids as well as plenty of tissues! We also succumbed to putting the heating on for a bit too unfortunately!

Had a yummy soup tonight made with left over pumpkin! Hot and spicy with homemade bread was lovely. I also finished off some chilli out of the freezer for lunch so all very frugal!

Business is going well ...a steady stream of bookings and income - its going to be a busy week - I need to make sure I don't burn out or sacrifice too time with my little ladies though...

Really trying to keep up the regular posting as its really helping keep me on track!

    We're still here!
Lost our way a bit over Christmas but still chipped away at the debt reducing it by over £1000 but well short of our normal amounts - no excuses - we spent too much!
We've a few big expenses coming up over the next few months but we're going to try and knuckle down and catch up on what we've missed overpayment wise - I've a decent bonus coming in March and that will knock another credit card of the list (albeit 2 months later than we'd planned) I'm not feeling too down about the slip we've had. The point is we're still here and still chipping away and that's all that matters.

    Happy Saturday folks!

    Weyhey!! She's back!! :)

Think a few of us lost our way over Xmas...I prefer the term 'meandering' myself..less 'final' than lost..and £1k ain't a shabby reduction you know.

Good news re the bonus too.

    Have a great evening
