Is there a savings limit when receiving working tax credits?

I am currently receiving ESA and I understand the savings limit to keep receiving this benefit is £6000.

Next year I want to get into work and off ESA and may apply for working tax credit (my area is moving to UC next March).

Is there a savings limit when on WTC or UC?

For Income related benefits anything over £6,000 and it affects your benefits £1 for every £250 over. £16.000 and your benefits stop completely. The same for UC.

There's no savings limit for WTC.

If I were to sign off ESA and apply for WTC, is that done through the job centre like ESA or HMRC?

WTC credit is HMRC.
