Wrong date of birth on credit card

Hi all,

I currently tried to apply for a littlewoods account. They declined due to saying that the credit card i currently have has the wrong date of birth. I contacted them and has the wrong date of birt!!!!! i asked them to change it and said it would take a couple of days... why did i even get accepted with wrong date of birth??!! What happens now? Will this effect my credit rating now?
