Blitzed the kitchen today - we did more sorting and tidying than we did throwing away, but it is looking sooo much better. I still have a few cupboards to do, but it might need to wait until the kids aren't around.

I've noticed my 'to sell' pile is getting bigger, despite the fact I did take a few things out and put them in a bag to be donated instead. I'd like to donate more, but I know some of the items have a value to them and frankly we need the money, so I've decided to aim for listing 5 items a day minimum. I'm also going to bundle some things up I think, to get rid of more things in one go.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Sounds as though you're going great guns Saver-upper. Helped a neighbour get rid of a couple of things after a garage clear. How can one house have 2 carpets cleaners - so a brand new in box one went to another neighbour and other items freegled.
Just a little bit of decluttering for me this weekend as I was focusing on sowing seeds.

So today is my mums birthday _party_ :j

All we needed to buy was food for our little buffet/celebration thing we're having tonight and a card and gift from each of us.

I found a small bit of birthday wrapping paper which was the perfect size for the present I bought her so I wrapped it in that(which uses it up too!)

For the buffet later we are going to use these paper plates/cups/platters etc leftover for previous Christmas eves.

Then all the rubbish from this can go in the bin tonight to be collected early tomorrow morning :D

I have had a lovely day today.8- and 10yo had an INSET day (school closed). It has been beautiful weather,so we went for wander through a local nature reserve.Girls enjoyed jumping in the river up to their knees, youngest enjoyed chatting to every dog that walked past :D.
Then they wanted to go to Costa for lunch (like our teens do when they have an INSET day ).COffee and hot chos and cake all round :D.
Then we went to a couple of local charity shops.Went to the one I usually donate to,and girls were thrilled to be counting all the items we had donated that were on the shelves.
While we were at the charity shop,I donated 511-521:11 books.I am not a great collector of books, and really only have about 3 shelves of books, which I have not read in years. This morning while kids were getting ready to go out,it only took me about 40 seconds to chose the donations.Really I should get rid of them all,but little by little doesn't hurt so much :o.
