Athena Parking - Civel Parking Charge Notice

I received one of these today; £45 if I pay within 14 days or £90 if not. Date offense was 19th July at Lidl in Shirley Southampton. I was in the car-park for from 09:47 to 11:41, more than you're allowed for the 'free stay'.
The sentence in the note says "We are a member of the Independent Parking Committees Accredited Operator Scheme wwwDOTtheipc.info".
What's the best advise currently for these please? Thank you in advance,

    Complain to Lidl, then appeal to Athena as per the newbies thread.

    Certainly do not pay them.

    1. Read the newbies FAQ sticky
    2. Send initial template appeal (IPC version) to Athena, but don't engage any further in the appeal process to the IAS
    3. Write to Lidl HO CEO - Ronny Gottschlich
    4. Search the forum using 'Ronny Lidl' as the search term to see how easily others have followed this route to a cancellation.
