My 16 year old has applied for the weekly EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance). My question is:
Will this affect my Child Tax Credit?
The government site says it won't affect tax credits but is that Child Tax and Working Tax credit (both of which I currently get)?
Thanks.

As above, Ema payments which your child will receive will not have any effect on tax crdits .
Incase it helps in any way , your child can also work up to 24 hours per week whilst studying and receiving the EMA without their wages affecting your tax credits.0 -

No, EMA has no effect on any benefit.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLearning/14To19/MoneyToLearn/EMA/DG_066951If you're eligible for EMA, the amount you receive is calculated by looking at your household income. It isn’t affected by any money you earn from part-time work, and won’t make any difference to any benefits your parents get.====0
