I have inherited 237 5p ordinary shares in a company called "Bank Bridge Group Limited". I cannot find any trace of the company and am wondering if these are of any value now. The were purchased in 1977 and 1973 through a now defunct Stockbroker in Glasgow.
Can you help with this?
I have no idea where to start the search.
Thank you

As neither Google nor Companies House has anything on Bank Bridge Group Limited it seems unlikely they are worth anything. The company must have a) been quite obscure and b) disappeared years ago. It may be worth investigating whether the company was taken over or renamed and your benefactor/ess still owned shares in the new company. However, it is more likely that it went bust, or the shares were cashed in, or reinvested into some other investment.
Is there a registrar listed on the share certificate?0 -
I wouldn't hold out much hope. If you do an advanced Google search, you'll see some references to them struggling in the late 70's. They changed their name to Rock Darham Ltd.in 1979

A bit more googling tells me that Rock Darham changed their name several times ending up as ActionLeisure in 2000. An Administrator (Ernst & Young) was appointed in 2001.
See https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00331803
This reference says that Rock Darham dates from 1937 and there is no mention of Bank Bridge Group.0
