Advice regarding clay soil
Options
I know it's not a gardening forum but thought some of you green fingered people may be able to offer some advice.
My soil is heavy clay to the point that when it rains the lawn takes days to dry. At this time of year it gets muddy/sticky as soon as you srart walking on it so it's useless for the kids.
What are the best cost effective ways of improving the soil so the kids can actually enjoy the garden?
Thanks in advance.

I need to do that - what grit and turf did you use - how much did it cost?0

Just a coarse grit.
I think I paid about £10sq/yard for removal of old turf, grit, new turf.0
