need new kitchen sink tap and waste

We want to refurb our kitchen including our white corian sink. Sink is good condition but we need a new (monoblock) tap and white waste. sink was put in back when imperial measurements were still valid . Will modern tap and waste fit? if not what should we be looking out for?
