Hi guys
Little bit of a steer here if anyone knows...
My online HMRC account says bank payment pending for £1600 due to £8300 worth of job expenses. Submitted it on the 6th. However, I have received a letter from HMRC saying my tax code has changed to 1930L due to the business expenses.
Is this normal? It seems like they're reimbursing me twice through different methods for my over paid tax.0 -
Yes they tried to do this with me, but I told them due to expenses changing year on year I didn't want them to do this, as potentially I could end up owing them money. They will change it back If you want them to... Id rather they owe me than the other way round! ��0

Have spoken to HMRC - was only hold for a couple of mins!
Payment for 15/16 still going ahead - was advised that this should be in my account by the 19th.
The coding notification is an assumption based on my expenses this year. Giving some thought as to whether I keep it this way as the extra per month will be handy but I do quite like the lump sum. Hmmmm...0 -
That was another reason I didn't want it.... I like the lump sum at the end of the year! Let's hope payments start happening soon then ����0

Still pending too but as i said last year it was 14th April it was issued and then im sure in bank 2 days later.
Think it has to take a min of 5 working days for straightforward cases.0 -
