Tours of Scotland

Options
Hope this is the right thread for this! I have 3 French friends who want an escorted coach tour of Scotland next April. They are looking to set off from Edinburgh on a 4/5 day trip and want a scenic tour with a few castles/historic houses too if possible.

Can anyone recommend a company who do this sort of thing? I have looked on line but there are so many to choose from. My friends are relying on me to guide them.

Merci!

Try posting on the UK holidays board.

If they are younger and want a small group check out Rabbies Tours. I've seen their trips all over Scotland and being a minibus they can get where large buses can't.

They do a 5 day trip from Edinburgh, or they could stay in Edinburgh and do a few day trips.

Scotland may one day (soonish?) be 'foreign' but it is certainly not 'overseas'. As said, repost under UK holidays.

I look forward to the day when England will be foreign!

For the OP's French friends, Scotland is an 'overseas holiday'.

    (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

If you supply the minibus, I will be your guide/driver :)

My parents use Caledonian Travel a lot and seem to think they are good value. There is also a rail ticket that allows you to explore - check Scotrail.

Just to note Tours is overseas, in France,...:rotfl:

There used to be a wee guy outside Glasgow central station who would carry your bags, direct you to a taxi, show you how to take your drink, sing you a song......excellent value for money........:T
