central heating grants/discounts?

I have finally persuaded my Grandad to install central heating in his freezing cold house :o

Are there any discounts or grants he could get. he is a pensioner in his eighties, and so far the quotes we've had are around £3K. ALOT of money for a pensioner!

    Goodluck Temba, your quite right your Grandad does need to have proper heating, and i hope you can get everything he's entitled to very very soon , with winter upon us it's only going to get colder.
