Hi Old-Stylers
I've had a bit of a search and frankly I'm a bit let down
I can't find a surplus of recipes to test in my (fairly) new combi-oven. The ones I could find were for meringues and cakes - which I shouldn't read as that is not why the purchase was made in the first place
So if nobody minds and Pink can't magically find a replica would folks mind a combi-oven recipe thread? I guess all the cooking times would depend on specific models but maybe they would provide a starting point
I don't really want to buy another cookery from Amazon if I can help it as I'm at book critical mass
Anyway my first contribution:
Oven Chips
(excuse for this not being healthy/nutritious: I don't feel very well today)
Chuck frozen chips on tray,
Micro/Grill combination for 8 minutes - turn over half way through cooking
These were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle which is much better than I can get them in the oven. I was pleasantly surprised - nothing like those horrible mccain micro chip ones.
I plan to try brownies soon.
Anybody got any destructions for proper food?

What do you mean by real food?
I can rustle up recipes for Steak and Kidney Pie, Lasagne, Somerset Pork Chops, Hawaiian Pork, Goulash, Hot Pot, and Fried Chicken so far.
If anyone wants any of these just shout and I'll type them up. I have to say they sound scarily seventies don't they!I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

i too would be interested in combi microwave recipies, i have a combi microwave (freebie from a donation when my normal micro developed a fault and started exploding plates in under 30 seconds) it came with no instructions and i only know how to use the microwave functions. it takes up so much space on my work top and i know i could replace it with a smaller more modern simple micro, but i am not prepared to spend untill it needs replacing. (very os but current concern is kettle caught fire today and i am without cup of tea). i may as well use item to full potential as i have it.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I'll do some more tomorrow if I get time.
There's a meat roasting chart in my book if that's any use?
It does some rather nice puddings too. Bread and butter pudding and Rice Pudding........I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

cheers mum looking forward to trying those out.
mine has a cooking guide where it tells you per lb of meat what to do - I forgot when I posted I did do a roast chicken in it the first day I got it and it was really really nice.
now whilst I bought the microwave for entirely healthy pursuits I'm sure that other msers would find it beneficial to see pudding recipes *ahem*The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0
