maybe 1 day or 2 days notice would have been better.
I thought they had dropped the rate ?????0 -
They have on the Guaranteed Growth Bonds (the ones you can deposit > £3K into) but the article is about the Investment Guaranteed Growth Bonds0

Mrs Zanderman just tried to open one of these, via an existing NS&I login. The website is slow, random error messages appear and the final screen, how much are you paying in, hangs on a ridiculous error message asking for a 'term' to be picked, from a non-existent list (and anyway the term is fixed 3 years, so it's a pointless question). Has happened multiple time on multiple browsers. We conclude that the NS&I site is, er, overloaded.0

It's good that the Guaranteed Growth Bonds are still available, albeit the rate in the most recent issue is down to 1.95% for 3 years. Still not bad as savings rate go with a maximum limit per person of £1m.They have on the Guaranteed Growth Bonds (the ones you can deposit > £3K into) but the article is about the Investment Guaranteed Growth Bonds0 -
I opened one at the beginning of December with plans to open another this week but got caught out by the rate drop, gotta be quick. Still, I got a 1 year fix with Investec at 1.9% so I'm not grizzling0

I opened one in January at 2.2%, and I was thinking of putting more in but then saw the rate had dropped to 1.95%, but I really should transfer some more cash savings in before the rate drops again.I opened one at the beginning of December with plans to open another this week but got caught out by the rate drop, gotta be quick. What will us stricken savers do now that this lifeline is being taken away?0
