    Don't forget to ask for a receipt in case you want a refund from God within 28 days. Statutory rights not affected.

    Whatever happened to the power of prayer?
  • Just imagine...rather than passing round a collections plate, they pass around a card machine !!!55357;!!!56834;

    No excuses for not having change anymore during mass! Haha

    You're only entitled if you can afford it! ;)

    Feels pretty distasteful to me. I could understand it for admission charges, but the CofE are hardly short of money.

    Will there be section 75 or chargeback cover available if Aunt Mabel fails to recover from her operation, or little Johnny doesn't get good enough grades, or United don't win the league, or anything else that anyone "prays" for?

    As a Humanist and Atheist, I nevertheless find this distasteful. Having been given a religious battering by a Methodist mother who was also an abuser, I think this sums up the CoE of the 21st Century, perfectly.

    What next? Order a Saints' relic from Amazon? Pieces of the cross on Ebay?
    I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

    I agree its distasteful, but I wouldn't really expect anything else from any religion (especially the Abrahamic ones). Its just papal indulgences updated to the 21st century.

    How is this any more distasteful than passing the plate for cash? Cards have replaced cash for most of us, so it makes sense.
