Best travel insurance?

What's the best travel insurance policy out there please?

For my son and his girlfriend, going to Italy just for a week.

Thank you :D

Why don't you try doing a comparison search

And it you ask 20 people you'll probably get 20 different recommendations

Fair point. What suits one wont suit another. All Id say is pick a good insurer with a good claims service. Don't just pick on price

Columbus Direct were excellent when my wife broke her leg in New Zealand, so we mostly get Columbus policies these days.

I have found it's cheaper to buy via MoneySupermarket rather than direct from their website.

I am happy with insure & go but they are "best" for me because I go scuba diving so it not necessarily good to go on someone else's recommendation.

    Decide what your criteria are.
For example do you want gold-pated cover from a highly rated company with money no object?
Do you have any specific requirements? e.g. "hazardous sports".
    Or is price a factor?

Note they need to get cover from booking as people can get ill between booking and travel so need cover.
