Sterling into Euros

Hi everyone.
Apologies in advance if this is not the correct place to post this query, however I am looking to exchange £900 sterling into euros as I'm off on holiday!
Given that the rate is so poor at present, would it be cheaper if;
I withdraw the money in France from an ATM machine or I exchange the money in France?
Many thanks

Get a fee free credit card eg Halifax clarity and withdraw in France making sure you withdraw without conversion avoiding the dynamic currency conversion scam,then pay it off online /mobile immediately.
That way you will get the Mastercard rate and pay no interest.0
