Great to see this story.
Earlier this year Europcar charged me over £560 'in lieu of repair' for a tiny bumper scratch (few mm) on a vehicle that was probably just missed in the pre-rental inspection. The 'supporting information' that accompanied the invoice for this ridiculous amount included over £150 for paint, a charge for 8 hours labour and various fees without adequate explanation.
If there's any kind of class action following the SFO or Trading Standards investigations I'll throw my hat into the ring.0 -
It's too little too late IMO, most if not all of the car hire companies are pulling these scams.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
